What We’ve Seen So Far: Logan

Release Date: 3 March 2017 (USA)

Set in 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men at the hands of a corporation led by Nathaniel Essex. With Logan’s healing abilities slowly fading and Xavier’s Alzheimer’s hampering his memory, Logan must defeat Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.

Logan takes place in the new timeline established after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past.

October 31 2016: Photo and Concept Art

We got a new photo of Hugh Jackman as an old, worn-down Wolverine. We also got two awesome pieces of concept art. The concept art was drawn up by artist Gabriel Hardman. The first shows a close up of Logan ready to battle, and the second features the character showing up at the Liberty Motel.

October 20 2016: Trailer Released

 October 5 2016: Poster and Title

Hugh Jackman announced the title of the third Wolverine film on October 5, 2016 when he released an image of a poster hanging in NYC of Logan holding the hand of a child.  That same day the director of the film James Mangold teased an image of the script.

He also hinted at the film being an adaptation of the Old Man Logan comic storyline, which was confirmed by the story’s writer, Mark Millar.
